Videos uploaded to your My Media and Media Gallery have automatically been updated to the new video player featuring the Transcript Widget. Videos embedded before March 11, 2024 will need to be re-embedded where they are located for the Transcript Widget to appear for viewers. Below are steps for best usability of the transcript widget when embedding in Canvas.
1. Select the "Embed Kaltura Media" icon from the Rich Content Editor toolbar
The Rich Content Editor toolbar is available in Canvas for Pages, Discussions, Assignments, and Quizzes.
2. Click the "Embed Settings" icon for the video
3. Select Embed Size
By default all videos are embedded at 400X285, when a viewer would like to use the Transcript Widget at this size they will be required to watch the video in Full Screen Mode. If a video is set to 608X402 or 1024X576 option, the Transcript Widget appears on the right of the video.
4. Click the "Embed" button
5. Click the "Save" or "Save & Publish" button
