How do I present wirelessly in classrooms using Airmedia?

General Access classrooms on the University of Utah campus feature wireless presentation using Airmedia. This feature allows users to present on the room display without using any connection cables. To present to your classrooms display using Airmedia, follow the steps below.

1. Power on and select "Airmedia"

Turn on av system using System Power button. Then select the Airmedia input button.

2. First-time users

In a browser, type in the IP address located in the bottom left hand corner of the Crestron splash screen on the room display. Install the appropriate Airmedia client on your laptop.

3. Connect to Wi-Fi

Make sure you are connected to UConnect wi-fi. Open the Airmedia Client using the Airmedia icon.

4. Enter Creston IP address

Enter the IP address from the Crestron splash screen and click Connect.

5. Enter Code

Enter the code from the Crestron splash screen and hit OK.

6. Mac Users

For Mac users, Step 5 will also include selecting the Airmedia device using Airplay. When prompted, open up the Screen Mirroring option on your Mac and select the IP Address from the list of available Airplay devices. Then enter the code from the Crestron splash screen and hit OK.

Note: Mac users on the Big Sur OS or above need to download and install the Airmedia MacOS Guest App linked below instead of the version that's available at the IP address listed in the classroom.
